BIOGRAPHY
She earned her undergraduate degree in Child Development and Psychology, along with her teaching credential, from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Before joining Team P&V, she spent more than 15 years teaching TK–4th grade in public schools. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, cooking and baking, hiking, and visiting the beach.Skylar received her bachelor’s degree in political science from California State University, East Bay. After graduating, she began her legal career as a paralegal in business immigration, where she assisted individuals navigating the complex laws and regulations of the U.S. immigration system. This experience strengthened her interest in advocacy and inspired her to pursue a legal education.
Skylar is currently in her second year at McGeorge School of Law, where she is pursuing her Juris Doctor. Through her legal studies, she has developed a particular interest in education law allowing her to combine her passion for advocacy with her interest in the legal issues affecting students, educators, and educational institutions.
At Perry & Villarreal, LLP, Skylar is excited to contribute to the firm’s work while expanding her knowledge of education law and continuing to develop as a legal advocate.
Outside of school and work, Skylar enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and giving back to her community.
